Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
We will be there to pick you up at Kilimanjaro airport. After a short freshen-up we’ll begin our 2.5 hour journey to introduce you to the life of the Maasai at this ancient, mystical cultural site. We will be welcomed by the Maasai in their very special and impressive way. After some wonderful afternoon activities such as exploring the Mirror Caves, whilst trying to shoot a target with your own spear, you will retire to your basic clay house (we have added some Western essential amenities 😉 for a good nights rest.

Day 2: Experience With Impact
After milking a cow, (our breakfast) we will go on a walk with a naturopathic guide and discover the medicinal plants of Maasai medicine. Here, you will gain a deep insight into the everyday life of the people.
After lunch, you will have the opportunity to dress up in authentic Maasai cloths. You will be given a traditional bucket, attached to a donkey and be sent off in search of water. You will enjoy your next glass of water with great gratitude.
In the afternoon, you and your donkey will be kitted up and released into the wilderness, setting off on your own adventure. Learn to make a fire without matches and cook your own food. You will sleep in a tent, under the African stars while a Maasai warrior watches over you.

Day 3: Experience The Real Life
After an early rise, you can experience the adventures of self-sufficiency again and walk to the next stop. Here, you will spend the day in the bush, making shoes from old tyres, collecting roots and herbs and making a delicious Maasai soup. To have a roof over your head, food in your stomach and a good sleep, you will have to endure a lot, but never fear, we are always close by!

Day 4: Full Day At Maasai Lodge
After returning from the true wilderness, the day is completely reserved for you and your personal well-being.
Enjoy a day at the Maasai Lodge. Now you can finally enjoy the luxuries of a swimming pool, sauna, massage (extra charge) and the spectacular view of mountain Kilimanjaro.

Day 5 & 6: Maasai Village
After breakfast, we will head off on a scenic drive along the slopes of West Kilimanjaro up to the Maasailand near Tinga-Tinga.
Once at “Olpopongi”, you will have the opportunity to meet the village Chief. Enjoy a slow walk through a genuine village, with your personal Maasai guide, who will explain the past and present life of the Tanzanian Maasai.
Divulge into the culinary culture by tasting chai (tea) prepared on a wood fire followed by a tasty lunch with a variety of local fresh food.
The afternoon starts with an educational walking safari in the bush. Maasai warriors will guide you along their paths and explain typical medicinal plants, extraordinary trees, tracks and local wildlife. In addition, the use of local tools, hunting techniques and fire preparation, will be a part of your unforgettable bush excursion.
At sunset, be a part of the traditional singing & dancing performances by Maasai men and woman. Followed by a feast of a BBQ around a camp fire, where you can relax and laugh with your ‘newly found friends’.
Fall into bed at your private Maasai boma under an African sky.
Wake up to the rhythmic sound of the bush drums in time for breakfast, before saying Goodbye and heading back to your hotel.

Day 7: Walking With Hadzabe Tribe
We will pick you up from your hotel, and drive through Moshi and Arusha towns, via lake Manyara to reach Lake Eyasi.
Here, you will meet with the Hadzabe tribe. A culturally, linguistically, and genetically distinct population of approximately 1000-1500 individuals, living around Lake Eyasi.
You will spend the afternoon with them, hunting, gathering and spending time truly fascinated with this simple existence culture.
Dinner and overnight stay: Hotel
Day 8: Departure Or Add Excursion To Zanzibar
After breakfast, you will have time to say farewell to the village tribesmen. This is also where we say our Goodbyes as we return back to Arusha and take you to your hotel/ airport.
